Alicia Brite is an emerging artist, composer and lyricist located in Meanjin, Brisbane. With a background in Musical Theatre, Alicia has a vast experience on and off the stage; no matter the capacity of her involvement, she is passionate about character-driven and emotion lead stories. As an autistic artist, she understands the importance of diversity and representation in art. Alicia strives to create an inclusive and safe rehearsal studio space in all she participates in.
As a performer, Alicia has performed in a vast array of Musicals, roles including; Tracey Turnblad in Hairspray, Muriel Ubanks in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Margaret White in Carrie. In addition to musical theatre, Alicia performs as a vocalist for events, including; Moreton Bay Christmas Carols and a variety of private functions.

Passionate about sharing skills and nurturing the next generation of artists, Alicia works as a vocal coach and musical theatre instructor. She offers one-on-one voice lessons and runs group musical theatre classes for students ages 5-18 at Mousetrap Theatre at Kau-in-Kau-in, Redcliffe. Alicia is available to run masterclasses in voice, characterisation and performance, and audition skills.
Storytelling within theatre is a focus for Alicia. She is an emerging writer, composer and lyricist. Most recent work is RUE written in collaboration with Sacha Roberson. RUE recently received the Nina Bacon playwright award at the Dalby Drama Festival for the script. Her most recent play, Rue, is currently touring South-East Queensland in the 2023 Drama Festival.
